Man, it was sure nice to be able to head off to bed after the second period and be confident that I'd wake up hearing about another Wild win. Yeo is right, there are never any excuses for this team. Got lots of guys hurt? That's ok, the team just goes out and wins. Playing a long road trip? Doesn't matter, the Wild can win anywhere. Refs hand out an extremely questionable major penalty? Wild doesn't even allow a shot on goal! Every day I'm just amazed by the incredible turnaround this team has made in such a short time. I still remember some posters here at the beginning of the season saying the team would stink, and wanting to pack them off to Dallas to join the Stars! I don't see how there can be any serious competition to Yeo for coach of the year honors, and Fletcher for GM of the year. Let the prima donnas play in the All Star Game this year. The players for the best team pesently in the league will enjoy the rest and come back to keep on winning.

Rep! Adding on to that, Mikael Granlund looks like he's going to be a serious problem for the league when he puts on a Wild jersey.

Good teams find ways to win. That's the old cliche.

Still, I don't know how the Wild are pulling this off. They cannot be this good can they?

I think talent-wise, they very well could be playoff good, and I expect they will make the playoffs now, but they are not best team in the league good.

They'll regress, and I predict they fall in the sixth or seventh seed come playoff time.

Don't get me wrong it is great to see a team from Minnesota winning for a change. Great hockey fans. The fact remains though they get out shot, badly, in the vast majority of their games. Sooner or later hanging on for a win is not going to vut it against the really good teams.

In that way, Wild sort of remind me of Nashville.
