Sure, but I'd try to talk them into a comparable raise to stay in their current position. I continue to hate the trend of hiring the hot OC or DC as a head coach, and as a result taking them out of that position in which they excel. The cases that work (like McVay) keep that candidate heavily involved in his specialty. However, there are more cases where the elite coordinator fails and eventually returns to his specialty elsewhere.
