I hear ya, it's an important stretch, but I wouldn't be disappointed with 86-76.

I'll be very happy with 82-80. :sad:

The Pirates need to go at least 18-29 the rest of the way to have a winning record. (And that's no sure thing.)

The Pirates have now played 16 games since the 100-game mark. Their record is 6-10 in those games, and the pitching staff has given up 94 runs in those games, increasing the average to 5.9 runs per game.

The Cards, Dodgers, and Giants are all within one game of the Pirates for the second wild card slot. I sincerely hope we're not witnessing another epic collapse..... but things seem to be getting worse.

I will be very surprised if the Pirates end up in the playoffs. But I will be more surprised if they dont break .500
