I think James is going to call it a career. I would be surprised if he returned as James has already publically admitted he is not going to take a pay reduction to help the Lakers with finding a Center. I think the Lakers will move Reaves and maybe Hachimura this summer along with that 2031 Draft pick to get the Center they need.

I don’t know Retro
In my opinion he is going to opt in for his player option year

First that is 52 mill sitting there for the taking
Second he will be intrigued playing with Luka for the whole year
Third another year of playing with Bronny maybe more playing time together than this season

And one other thing - as a rule I take anything said immediately after a season ends for an athlete (especially after a playoff exit) with a grain of salt
There is too much raw emotion

After the emotions settle down later on - maybe Summer - LeBron will start thinking about it with a clearer head and he is a competitor
That itch to come back will be strong

This sort of me, me, me shit James has blatantly been demonstrating over the last two seasons is getting old for a lot of peeps. He seemed to direct the Lakers to draft his son all right but can't chat with Doncic over a meal because James is not ultruistic by any scope of the defintion. It has always been about him first and a lot of people know it.

I think he plays one more season. He's currently tied with Vince Carter at 22.

Picked these up at a Publix....surprisingly good.

No added sugar but you can't tell there isn't any. Healthy sweet treat.

That is way too much to give up for a center.

I agree, ALR. I am parroting what alot of the pundits are saying. What the Lakers should really do, is stop trading away their draft assets to get a Center and if they do move Hachimura and Reaves, then they have to replace them with some bodies of equal or better playing levels. That may not happen because the Lakers are already strapped under the cap.

This is where the Lakers have created their own conundrum. Pelinka needs to stop the flow of assets out to get a win-now guy that the Wolves exposed. How did the Wolves get what they have? They didn't give away a host of Draft capital and they drafted some of their players and then developed them.
