lakers had good leads like a dozen times in this game. Every time let Pacers back into it

Wow, James' tip shot wins it for the Lakers by 1 point. Whew!! Well done!! The Lakers snap their own 3-game losing streak and snap Indiana's 6 straight winning streak.

Wow.. well good win by the lakers. horrid performance though. This game should have never came down to a miracle tip. They had 100 chances to blow this game out quick and let this pretender pacer team back in it every time. That won't slide against the better teams.

Lakers go to Chicago to take on the Bulls in a back-to-backer tomorrow night. They owe the Bulls on this one.

They are notoriously poor at closing out quarters. It's almost guaranteed they will give up 5-10 points at the end of the 2nd and 3rd quarters it seems. The 3rd is someone understandable as it's usually when Luka is out to rest for the 4th. 2nd is maybe just fatigue? Regardless, the substitution patterns/timing still need work, but things are coming together.

I'm not a big fan of isolation possessions either, where Luka, Lebron, or even AR hold the ball the entire possession working for a shot. Move the ball and get better looks, run plays.

Defensively, I don't know. Might be substitution patterns again. They were lights out defensively for a stretch in the 2nd when they went from 8 down to 13 or more up. Then they fall asleep on an inbounds pass, or continue to leave a hot 3 pt shooter open, etc. With guys like Luka and AR, you're going to get cooked defensively with matchups from time to time, but uncontested shots should not be a thing. There is no Pacer that should draw double teams, unless it's just a quick trap.
