We shall see.....it was just 1 game and Luka only played 24 minutes.
Luka will be Luka this season. It will take a while, he's fitting in for now, but he will start dominating soon and it will only make everyone better. I stand by stupidest trade of all time for the Mavs

It was always going to work. The whole "No Big" thing is completely overrated. The Bulls won Titles with Uwe Blab and Bill Wennington running around in the post. When you have 2 superstars and another all star level player, all your post needs to do is defend a little and throw down wide open dunks. Your new point guard will average 9 rebounds a game. How many points do that?

When the Lakers go small this year, it's with a lineup dominated by big wings. Last year, when Ham went small, it was with 3 and 4 guard lineups with multiple PGs. Not surprisingly, JJ's version has been much more successful thus far.

Correct. I think when a lot of people had doubts about Luka/LBJ working, they weren't considering the overall games of both guys. Either guy can go off for 40 on a given night, but either guy can also get you 10+ rebounds and 10+ assists. They make you a bigger team across the board, both can go inside, both can shoot 3's, both get to the foul like constantly. Two true superstars like this rarely fail together.

They're also thinking of a past version of Lebron where he was the main creator on the offense. Reaves had already taken a big chunk of that off of Lebron's plate this year, so the transition to playing with Luka should be a lot smoother.

The only legitimate concern with the 3 of them together is the defensive end, where only Lebron has ever been a strong defender and that is largely in his past. He can engage at times now (and maybe more now with some of the offensive strain taken off of him).

It would be shocking to see the league force the trade.

It’s never been done. But neither was a trade vetoed before either, so when it comes to the league and the Lakers, nothing is impossible.
Well, ALR. Actually a Lakers trade was blocked by David Stern when he was still alive. The following article explains. The Hornets were in New Orleans back then and that Chris Paul Trade was going to send Gasol to the Hornets. stern stopped it way back when.

Everyone is contributing and many are playing a better Defense. We don;t need Williams. The guys playing Center and are doing great. Shoot, even Jamesplayed the 5 last night. So Redick has a more fluid and freer team playing night-in and night-out. Reminds me of the Showtime Lakers a little bit.
