Here are my thoughts...

I still think Iowa can win 8-9 games. I believe this is one of those years Ferentz's Hawkeyes overachieves. They have improved a little every game, and if they continue to improve every game and not have any serious injuries, that is how 8-9 wins will happen.

Having one of the best LB corps is a big plus for Iowa's defense. They will be good at stopping the run, containing scrambling qbs, pick up screen and short passes. Even though they did good at pressuring WMU's qb, they won't have that good of luck in the B1G. They will also get beat deep. But I think Iowa's defense can match up against teams like Wisconsin, Michigan, Northwestern, and Nebraska.

Of course, the offense will need to do their thing during those games. They do have young talent on offense and should really improve as they get experience, as long as they don't get injured.

Purdue scares me because it could be a trap game and Michigan State is following a bye week, which Iowa struggles with for some reason.
