Fucking flakes - they've now cost the Flyers two points in the last two games with horrendous calls - the refs are horrendous all around the league - every SINGLE DAMN game there are horrendous calls - they're the only league in the world to disallow a goal because of INCIDENTAL CONTACT - jesus christ NHL you have all the money in the world invest in refs that can get calls right and let them review any call and change it as they may

Without hearing a whistle not sure how that wasn't a goal.

And it is fitting the NHL revealed ad that appeared prior had 3 different Penguins shots in it.

Even if they did blow the whistle, they never should have because Brodeur never had control of the puck - and Anton Volchenkov pushed Scott Hartnell into the goalie - I hate the incidental contact rule, you're going to punish the team that did the incidental contact by taking the goal away from them? That's awful

Oh yeah I agree, in certain situations it is used as defensive move if you are beat on a play. If you don't hurt your goalie.

If anything, the defensive player pushing the player into the goalie should get a penalty for doing that, especially when sometimes it is intentional

Nothing we can do about it, Rangers have been on the bad end of missed calls all year. Not gonna complain, everybody is getting screwed over, some more than others.

Meh, the Flyers had 6 pps and didn't take advantage. I do think the right call was made and I'm saying that as a hockey fan not as a Devils fan. At the end of the day the Flyers didn't play well enough to win.

Debatable how much Volchenkov really pushed Hartnell, they were both going out of control for the puck, tough call though.

I cannot really tell from that clip how bad of a call is but in the past 15 years I dont think anyone has gotten more calls like that than Brodeur.

Shame there wasn't 59:50 of other time on the clock to make it so a bad call didn't matter.

I'm not a fan of the call, but honestly, guys - we want to win the Stanley Cup, right? Then why are we worried about officiating screwing us over more than the fact that we are always in these tight games? Play better and we won't give the officials the chance to blow the game.

That said, that call was horseshit.

We know that and realize that, the Flyers should have done better last night - but at some point, the refs need to be called out for their brainless idiocy - otherwise they'll never learn - it's an epidemic around the entire league - they are bad every single night and there's no reason for that, with the technology they have and the ability to talk to each other and get calls right, bad calls like this should not be happening on a regular basis - I just don't understand how they can be this bad all around the league - the games are fast but that doesn't mean you can't change calls and get them right when you have the opportunity to do so, which they have plenty of opportunities to do so

Every team in the league plays in tight games every night, that's why it's even more magnified around the league - the standings are so close for a lot of teams that one bad call could be the difference - it's inexcusable and I feel bad for all the teams around the league that they go through the incompetency of the NHL refs - they play in tight games every night as it is, they don't need the help of referees being the difference maker in the games

I don't know what happened. Did the puck go in and it was disallowed for non-penalty interference? That's what I see here as a neutral fan who dislikes both the Flyers and Devils. ;)

Yep that's what they called it for - but the puck was already going in before there was any contact, and the contact was very little - it wasn't like the puck got pushed in because the goalie was pushed, the puck was already going in

I'm just telling you what I see as a non-partisan. His skates hit his pads and his body hits Brodeur's shoulder and I see no attempt by Hartnell to turn his skates/body to avoid the goalie.

I don't think under the rule it matter if the puck WAS going in or not. If the goalie is interfered with BEFORE it goes in, then the goal can be waived off.
