Marvin has to go. His message is stale and worn out. We are worn out. You can only have so many resets and t-shirt slogans. We've seen it before and bought into it before, but no more.

The new coach must have his own staff. Let the coaches interview with the new guy. If they're as good as Marvin says then the new guy will hire them.

Let Katie and Todd run the team. Pass the baton Mike.

Make Duke Tobin GM before we lose him.

Find a way to use Willie Anderson, Anthony Munoz and other ex Bengals to help the team .

Keep Andy ala Jon Kitna and draft his replacement as the franchise QB we need.

Draft or sign the o-linemen we obviously need that hopefully will help right away.

Use Mixon and Gio properly. My goodness, let them play.

The tight ends might be our most talented group....use them correctly.

Use the wide outs properly.....play the best ones.

For that matter what do you think about playing our best players regardless of tenure.

Cincygrad,

I'm just saying you can only reboot so many times. Every year Marvin has the same goal that seems like a pipe dream at this point. Who really believes we can get to the Super Bowl with Marvin leading the charge? The inspiration is not there anymore. If he comes back and has a new slogan and says this is the year we go deep into the playoffs, will you jump on board? I know I won't. It's just not credible anymore.

I think our chances are better with a new coaching staff, no matter who they are. Marvin never made half time adjustments, wouldn't play younger players and stuck with struggling players way too long. That's just to name a few problems I've struggled with for some time now.

I know Mike likes to carry over a lot of his assistants and that's commendable, but let the new guy have say in who stays and who goes. If the new guy is Guenther, Simmons or Jackson, I can see most of them staying. Maybe that's okay, but I really want to see an offensive upstart coach this team. Do you remember Sam Wyche? Those were some exciting times.

I would fix the OL before drafting a new QB. hell, if you fix the OL, Dalton will actually look a hell of a lot better.

If you can run the ball, make those 5-10 yard passes and make first downs, your defense doesn't have to work so hard, and they look better too.

No doubt the o-line needs fixed first and yes, Andy can be very productive with a good o-line, but is Andy really a franchise QB? Can he throw the home run ball? Does AJ have to back up to catch it? What if we have a shot of one of the top 3 coming out this year? Wouldn't it be fun to see the competition? I have always been a strong Dalton supporter, but this year I'm throwing in the towel.

I meant with your 'hot take' that our tight ends are the most talented group on the team. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I guess I was thinking with Eifert, Kroft and Uzomah it's a pretty darn good group. I should have said they might be the most talented group on offense. The running backs might be better, maybe even the receivers...maybe, but not the o-line and not the QB's as compared to other teams.

Tyler Eifert is a free agent.

Tyler Kroft is a starter on less than 10 teams in this league. CJ Uzomah is fighting for his roster life on most teams.

We might have one of the worst tight end situations in the entire league.

I'm pretty sure we could get a better QB for the long term. I think Andy Dalton has his limits compared to other athletes around the league. But it just won't matter if this team won't prioritize the OL. BAD OL means repeated 3 and outs, you can't run, you can't pass, the defense gets tired, and then you lose.

No doubt we need to address the o-line first. Even the great Aaron Rodgers is ineffective when he's constantly scrambling, but I still think we should give Andy some competition instead of handing him the reins without question. I really think AJ McCarron should be given a chance to play the last couple of games. I know his status is not clear, but if he goes elsewhere and stars..........

Wouldn't do much for AJ at this point.... Bengals are starting two back-up tackles this weekend. If I were AJ, I'd probably fake an injury to make sure I made it to the offseason healthy.

Yea, now that we tried to trade him... awkward.

he would just be auditioning for his next team. No way is the NFL going to let a guy with a good looking model wife stay in Cincinnati. It's just wasted PR for the NFL.

We aren’t getting Rosen or Darnold. Fuck picking a QB. Find offensive lineman. By any means necessary. This would require bringing in a quality FA of some sort, because college football just isn’t producing many OL prospects right now.

Also the suggestion that the Bengals TE group is anything but below average is Hobspin level insanity. Eifert is gone. Kroft is mediocre. The rest wont make the roster next season. TE is probably the next biggest need after OL.

Lastly, can we please let the AJ McCarron thing go?

Dalton makes too much money and takes up too much of the salary to sit on the bench.
You either have to cut bait and move on from him or keep him as the starter.

Andy Dalton fucking sucks. As long as he's our QB, you're an absolute retard if you think this team has a shot to do anything.

Remember when you couldn't claim Andy Dalton was not a top 5 QB without getting reamed?

lol.
