As we're at the waning-part of the season, I haven't seen the Lions play a snap. Honestly, I can't type a genuine assessment about how good nor how bad the Lions are playing football. However, I know that the Lions lead the NFC North and they have 4 losses, on their record.

From the highlights, they look good. However, highlights don't show images, of which will reveal weaknesses of a team. In order to consume the information, to give a thorough opinion about a team's imminent success, one must watch a number of games, to create a legitimate assessment of a team's performance.
