I remember when that 1st came out...it was very atypical for them..and it showed how diverse and schooled they were as musicians.

I remember when that 1st came out...it was very atypical for them..and it showed how diverse and schooled they were as musicians.

I wouldn't have ever guess that was Kool and the gang. In a sense, it reminds me a bit of the early Journey in that they started out as a bit of a fusion band and then morphed into more of a pop band.

It reminds me to a degree of Ramsey Lewis w/ EW&F "Sun Goddess"...which is also from that same era.
