Josh Bailey has untill Friday morning to sign a contract with the New York Islanders or he will be forced to sit out the entire season.

Has anyone heard anything about a possible trade? Luke Schenn, Kyle Turris anybody?

Bailey refused to sign his qualifying offer. For some unknown reason he thinks he deserves more.

Turris started to show flashes of what he could be at the end of the season, but by know means does he deserve a big raise. It would be potential for potential though.

I just think the Isles would be better served if they traded Bailey for a defenseman.

Josh Bailey has been given a 7:00 EST deadline to sign. If he fails to do so he won't play in the NHL this season.

Hey Josh, Chuck isn't kidding. Sign if or your days as an Islander could be over because the Isles will just resign Frans Neilson & Ryan Strome will probably be on the roster next season. Casey Cizikas & Marty Reasoner will give you the battle of your life for the 4th line center spot. Heck they could sign Brock Nelson after this year as well. Then there's the possibility of signing Johan Sundstrom the Isles 2nd round pick in 2011. Isles scouts have been raving about him.

The Isles could force Josh to sit & rot for a long time if they choose too.


This is it for Bailey. His NHL career could hang in the balance here. He better not allow his agent to ruin it for him.

The Sharks could trade Braun for Bailey. Someone to put on the third line. Gets Braun playing time that he likely won't get in San Jose this season.
