I'm with you. I would be more interested in trading down 10ish spots for an additional 3rd. And assuming g we are still at 34 after day one (and depending on who is left after Round 1) it could be a realistic scenario. The teams that have had success over the period of many years have done well in the middle rounds of the draft.

But if the right guy is there in the late 1st, at trade up at the cost of an additional 5th rounder wouldn't be the end of the world for sure. Our 4th or (gasp) 3rd? Not so much.

Tradeing up or drafting a kicker/punter would cause me to hang my self

Drafting the best K or P coming out in the 7th is not that big of deal to me if A) you already have a playoff roster OR B) you suck at those positions.

Zack Martin is very scary now. If it was one count...maybe. That's three counts and I do believe that felonies are involved.

I think you trade up for Mosely, Dix, or Pryor if it only costs us a 4th round pick. According to the trade value chart that should bring us all the way to the 28th pick in the draft. Most likely Dix and Pryor are gone but it looks like Mosely is going to be there. We be foolish not the get Mosely for a 4th round pick.

I'm not convinced that there is a reason to trade up at all. Somebody convince me that there is going to be another S. Taylor, Jon Jansen, or Art monk type available with that move.

You go high enough and one of those types will be available. Question becomes the cost. If Mosely is there at 32, and it costs us a 5th to make the move, Im all over it. But if it costs us say the 3rd rounder, or next years 2nd to get up to 25 to get him... im a bit more hesitant.

that so called trouble may have two sides to the story, but you seem the type that has him guilty anyways

He is facing felony charges and it should lend pause to anybody thinking of drafting him.

You seem to think caution means I believe he's guilty. My caution means I will wait for the facts to come out before making any personal choice of his guilt...that's called intelligence.

You must be on the opposite side. A guy accused of a crime is innocent because he says he is.

Sounds to me like a few tOSU and Michigan fans were in a scuffle and he may have gotten involved and dropped a couple of them, so it's not like he is acting like Pacman or something. That would give me no hesitation on drafting him. It doesn't really matter, he won't make it close to #34. Zack Martin may not either.

I don't expect Martin or Lewan to make it to 34...maybe not out of 15.

Everything counts when it comes to the draft. If a couple of guys got into it, why was he the only one charged? The point is...they get themselves into situations.
