I'm liking my Sergio pick so far. Great start for him. Of course if Rory plays his A game, nobody is catching him with an already 2 stroke lead. But I expect to see Sergio in one of the final pairings on Sunday.

The guy who can hit "controlled" low hard shots into the greens...always a problem w/ wind at the British Opens. Guys that hit the high approach shots will suffer as usual.

That's normally true and I'm sure will be in play this weekend at some point, but today, the high ball worked fine.

I'm still ticked at Phil for blowing it @ Winged Foot...I had him in a pool that would've cashed out over $400!

Rory...If he can continue hitting driver in play and attacking, yes he could walk away from the field....but lately he hasn't been following up good rounds that well....Rory is clearly all Irish, but seems to be more comfortable playing American style golf, high ball player...says he has a game plan if the weather turns, but if the weather does turn Rory is not going to win...doesn't have the patience...not yet anyway.

Well - no rain thus far (& I don't think that will happen till tomm). However - wind is definitely a factor & the scores are much higher today. Should make for some great story lines for the players that tee it up later today.

Without help from mother nature this one might be over. Rory is looking too strong...great round...Dustin had an even better round, but he won't stay up there...look for him to shoot over par Sat...maybe one of the -6 guys can hang around but I look for one of them (Sergio maybe) to be in the final group on Sun.

Rory doesn't always turn it on. Very hot and cold player. But when he's hot - he simply murders the rest of the field. Won his 2 majors by 15 strokes, and up by 6 here.

Today was nothing short of Tiger 2000 type stuff. But he has to close it out like Tiger 2000.

Well he is one of the biggest high-ballers on the tour so if the wind starts really kicking up then anything is possible. He has such a cushion and the guy's closest to him aren't the ones aren't the guys that I'd think who could chase him down though.
