Don't know if this has been noted yet but watching the Bo Pelini show.

In the first segment

Announcer: You kept good heat on their quarterback most of the night.

Pelini: Yeah They did some things to try to alter it....we didn't want to show too much... We got a couple of sacks on them.

Did anybody else catch this? Bo is holding back like everyone suspected but...How much is he holding back? God I can't wait til Saturday!!!!!

We definitely have not blitzed much this season. In past seasons, in big games on 3rd down, the Pelini's dial up some insane pressure. (See Mizzou last year)

I hope he has some surprises for Wilson. I would love to see him on his ass half the night.

......so..........huskerz winz???

I'll say it got me excited to hear it come from his mouth. He is holding back for this game. At least I am assuming this game since this is the biggest game of the year to me.

There is no way that we are not going to show more pressure than we have...........I will guarantee you guys that. I am no expert or anything, but I saw us applying a TON of pressure last year in 3rd down (passing) situations, and this year I've just seen the Pelini's leaving it up to the D-Line.

We have kept everything very basic. With that said, our secondary is still going to get torched in some areas if we fail to get pressure.

Let's face it, Bo is always going to call every game "just the next game on the schedule." The reality of it is, the coaches have planned ahead for this game.........very far ahead.

This game just plain means more in the long run. If we can manage to get this first win, that gives us a ton of leverage moving forward. We would have to have an epic fail to not make it to the Big 10 Championship game if we manage to beat Wisconsin this weekend.

I predict a 27-13 win mainly because we have more talent.

This "we haven't shown everything yet" belief may be negated by the fact that Wisky played inferior talent and they "haven't shown everything yet".

I'm sure before last years Texas game we hadn't shown everything yet. We need not discuss how that ended. Don't you think Wisky's coaching staff might be expecting a wrinkle or two this week that wasn't seen the first 4 weeks?

We have outrecruited Wisky for years. It will show come game time.

We MIGHT have more talent, but it ain't at the right spot.
ALSO, it is not unusual for teams to hold stuff back for the real competition. Wisconsin has just as much in the playbook as the Huskers, I assure you. Relying on a new wrinkle or two will do nothing but disappoint.

Here's something that won't change. Rex will be a man amongst boys. I hope you go see the doctor and get some medication for your sniffles. Perhaps that might improve your disposition.

Rex Rules!!!!

And I hope your new glasses arrive soon so you can see things, without using your rose colored ones, for what they are.

There is nothing wrong with my disposition. I am a die hard Husker fan, I just don't assume everyone is better just because there is a red "N" on the side of the helmet. Someday when you actually understand the game a little you'll understand.

I guess I expected too much of you. I'll be sure to add a smiley face next time.

Tom, I think we want the same thing. Huskers National Championship. Notice I'm not claiming we are better than LSU, Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma or even Ohio State. These teams have clearly outrecruited us. As a rule, he who can outrecruit the other, wins. Exceptions include this years Ohio State club (who are worse than their talent) and Boise (who are better than their talent). If we don't play up to our potential, the same thing can happen to us against Ohio State as what happened against Texas last year. We need to take advantage of these talent saturated teams when they're down.

It doesn't mean I'm swimming in the kool aid because I expect us to beat Wisky since we have more talent.

And I am not suggesting that the Huskers just roll over and play dead whenever a decent team pops up on the schedule. I think the team is more than talented enough to win this week.
And kool-aid is good once in a while. :peace:

recruiting doesn't mean shit if you can't coach them up...

The difference in the game will be if Taylor can make 15-20 yard throws

We very well may win this football game, but it won't be because of our recruiting. Ask Notre Dame how having an overload of 5-star recruits is doing for them
