Just wanted to get this plug in before some obvious losses come at the end of this weekend which will affect nothing.

It was mentioned at the end of last season that the Big East was a joke, a mid-major conference and even Villanova was a team that could beat nobody of note without fluky luck.

The Big East is of now 5-1 against the top 25 and owns wins over ...

#5 UNC
#18 Florida
#18 Oklahoma
#14 VCU
#19 Michigan
Florida State
Notre Dame
Minnesota

That was last year. This is this year.

The Big East sucked last year my man, and you know it. Love seeing the improvement this year, hope that continues.

The conference will be in good shape in the coming years forsure.

I think this year though Nova is the only really good team.

Gtown and X are solid teams. Prov and St. Johns are wildcards.

It would be nice if all 5 could get into the tourney and make it 50%.

Definitely looking pretty good early on, the Battle for Atlantis has helped a ton already and they still have more opportunities

Xavier and Marquette are bringing the Big East down...DePaul and Seton Hall have better records than them?

When was the last time DePaul EVER had a nice win?

*They've actually had a few over the past few years.

Marquette lost to Ohio State and Michigan State. DePaul hasn't played anywhere close to their schedule.

What they have done so far has left me optimistic this season can be a great learning curve. The Omaha loss was a blessing in disguise. Realized with this undersized inexperience team they have to go zone.

They will be very solid next year and in two years they could be phenomenal.

Xavier has a couple questionable L's but Blueitt looks like a real player and they are always a mainstay.

DePaul is the team bringing this conference down every year.

Don't forget Nebraska-Omaha. Tough squad they've got there for only being Division 1 for a little over 2 years

Read further down. I mentioned it briefly.

And I've actually looked at scenario's of our RPI in losing that game compared to another in Orlando(which most likely happens if we don't lose to Omaha and switch to zone defense) and every scenario has the RPI coming out slightly worse.

Ahh yeah. Missed that, my bad. They're definitely not as bad of a team as they would seem to be for only just moving up to D1. They gave us a scare in our building too...they were up 25-7 to start the game. I think they'll win their league and be a tournament team pretty frequently once they are eligible.

Also, I wasn't trying to take a shot at you (didn't even realize you are a Marquette fan) I just get sick of hearing from Creighton fans about how tough the Big East is :D

Ha all good I knew you weren't taking no shots.

And I am well aware of the annoyance that creighton fans can be for Nebraska fans lol.
