They've been shit for decades. I grew up with the Big 10 "We don't win national titles because we beat each other up" mantra.

They were pimped by the Beano Cook's for far too long.

The Big 10 has always had at least someone contending. Whether it's Ohio State or Michigan or whoever. Hell I think Northwestern was up there even one year.

This year, however, Nebraska currently holds the Big 10's best chance at doing anything.

I don't think it's any worse this year. This year the top teams scheduled tougher non conference opponents (Wisky v LSU, MSU v Oregon, OSU v Va Tech). Usually we wait until New Years day to show how bad we are.

I actually was surprised that the Big 10 didn't really get destroyed last year in the bowl games.

Had a chance to win them all except for Michigan. The rest of the conference performed well.
