Bad ending for such a good band...
I was in eighth grade when that album came out and I couldn't wait to hear it. Though their previous LP, Pendulum, had some great tunes, I missed the energy from 'Cosmos Factory'. When I heard the first few notes of "Lookin' for a Reason" I just about had a stroke. The reviewer in Rolling Stone said something to the effect that it the worst record ever by a major band. As I listened to the rest of the album, and seeing only three of the members of CCR on the back of the album (Tom Fogerty had left after Pendulum), I knew they were done. Sad, and even to this day, they are bickering back and forth in court over the fidicuary duty of band members upholding the good name of Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Yeah, John got the big head. I used to think it was all on the entire band but when CCR was inducted into the RnR Hall of Fame and only John was on stage and didn't even acknowledge Stu and Cliff, who were in the audience, I changed my opinion of him.

He actually refused to let Stu Cook and Doug Clifford play with him. An absolutely heartless thing to do.

My wife was a disco queen and missed out on T-Rex. When I play my T-Rex collection, she always asks, "How did I miss them?" I reply, "Because you spent all those years listening to shit."
