Funeral scene promo clip:
It appears the batman character is deaf, dumb & mute in this version.Funeral scene promo clip:
At this point, I have zero intention of seeing this movie. DC has shit the bed too many times. They have no idea how to make a movie anymore.
Joker was good, but VERY over-rated.
Tania Lambe said:Performances were emotional and raw in The Batman, but you're gonna get a very broody Batman that never smiles. The Batman is not kid friendly for younger ones.
seeing that she wrote the review for a website called "Lola Lambchops" with the title "Is 'The Batman' Kid Friendly?" I'd say the review is about right, but should be taken with a grain of salt since she is reviewing it in a bit of a vacuum...This has to be one of the most ridiculous reasons for a critic to declare a Batman movie rotten:
It's encouraging that some of the reviews say the pacing is pretty good. For a 3.5 hour-long movie, pacing or lack thereof could make or break the show.
IMDB has it listed at 2 hrs 55 minutes. Still might be better to watch at home instead for the reasons you mentioned.3.5 hours?!? Fuck that. Guess I'll watch this one at home then where I can move around, pause to pee, etc
Cool. I do like the idea of Dano as Riddler.Fucking great movie. A bit long but doesnt drag too bad. It was a little less than 2 hours and 50 minutes.
Really sets up a great world in this one. Dano as the Riddler is fucking incredible. Really, really good movie. The gritty detective angle worked awesome.
Not as good as Dark Knight but better than the other two Nolan films imo.
I'm looking forward to it and I have thought since the beginning that Pattinson was a good pick for the roleThis movie was incredible, the fact that you can make a claim that it’s better than The Dark Knight speaks to how amazing this movie actually is.
I think Pattinson will silence a lot of “the guy from Twilight????” critics with this movie.
It was hard holding my bladder for 3 hours but I didn't wanna get up and miss anything. It's very dark, probably the closest thing to a psychological thriller you can get while still being a superhero filmI'm looking forward to it and I have thought since the beginning that Pattinson was a good pick for the role
My one friend said she had to go to the bathroom a lot during it
Were the casting choices well done? The main one I had a problem with was Zoe Kravitz as everything I’ve seen her in, I didn’t think she did a good job.It was hard holding my bladder for 3 hours but I didn't wanna get up and miss anything. I think I am going to agree with @wildturkey in that I’ll probably wait until it hits HBO Max because three hours seems a bit long for me to sit in the theater. I remember doing that for Avengers Endgame and had to go to the bathroom once or twice and also get like it dragged.
How’s Andy Serkis as Alfred? I feel like he’ll at least be better than Jeremy Irons who it felt like was just there for a paycheck.Yes.
Kravitz is great as catwoman. Ferrell is quite the treat as early stages penguin, has some of the rare comic relief. Pattinson is a great batman, Ive always been a fan so maybe a bit biased but hes really good and its a completely different bruce/bat than Bale which is nice to differentiate. Wright as Gordon works really well. Tuturro as Falcone was great.
Dano as I said in my first post was the clear stand out though. Hopefully a March release doesnt get forgetten because he should be in the legitamate supporting actor race.
