Good one :laugh3:. ... maybe he gets a small bump with Henry out :noidea: until that time comes. ...
Well that's the enigma, isn't it? The success of Tannehill and the passing game is predicated on a successful running attack. The assumption is, they'll likely pass more without Henry. Tanny ain't that good without that impressive running attack, as most of his success is off play action. So the volume likely will increase, the efficiency likely will go down, if not plummet altogether. Is that a bump?

And if AP/McNichols/whatshosname/and/or Foreman can be moderately successful, is it more or less status quo?

What really sucks is the first taste of life after Henry is VS Aaron Donald, the Rams and newly acquired Von Miller, so what we see this weekend, isn't necessarily indicative of what we might get the rest of the season.

OK - made a deal with Wreck. I send M. Gaskin and M. Brown for D. Parker. ..... finally got rid of those guys - now watch their sorry asses start producing. Damn, I wish that Watson deal had taken place. .... shit, just thought I own Parker in 2 leagues now and Tua is still the QB - not sure I'm better off. ....
BTW - he was not my target. ....

I mean I'm not exactly thrilled with Julio, but at least he's a guy with a pulse and I traded a guy I picked up off of waivers a few weeks ago for him that was just a temporary fix at running back so I'm fine with it. Maybe he can get healthy by Cook's week 10 bye. FYI I also sent an offer for Devante Parker to Wrecking Crew.

Well dang you aimed a lot lower then when I inquired about Gaskin and you filled his RB2 hole just in time to play me. Hopefully it won't matter and the Dolphins give Gaskins 12 carries for 36 yards like last week. Grrrr

Julio health is a question mark but the price was right, not much chance Scott ever would been in the starting lineup with the abundance of better choices you have.

Well, the difference was that you just didn't have a guy that fit into the range I felt comfortable with - they were either too far above what you were willing bite into, or just a bit too far below my desires. ... time will tell if it was the right thing to do or simply lateral move. Trust me - Parker was not the primary target but it's where we ended up. There are certain guys he has this man-crush thing going on for that he either didn't wish to discuss or even make counters. Took a while but apparently he had time to think some dynasty today.

Guess I just caught him at the right time. .... I'm not convinced it's makes me better or not but damn, WR's are the new RB's in this league. ....

OK, once upon a time trade values were RB's, WR's and TE's. TE's got no respect what-so-ever and are still low man on the totem pole, though a top 3 guy is pretty much out of reach these days. RB's were kings, even a RB3 was likely to score you a top 5 TE or top 20 WR. Times have changed to the point that a RB2 will barely get you a WR2 or top 4 TE and an RB3 is pretty much dead to almost everyone not devastated by injuries. ...... we'll call it the 'Monkey Model' :hail: mindset - I should have paid more attention to it earlier . ....

I dunno..the next time a RB just up and quits for "personal reasons" in mid season, or kills someone driving 150mph, or even worse, just stops showing up, without giving a reason, and the replacements for said RB's are available on waivers, then I'll give credence to WR's being a huge value. Until then, Tajae Sharpe, Zay Jones, and Peoples Jones/Higgins provide plenty enough flex value and have little to no cost to acquire.

I think it's more that folks don't want to trade a player they have use for to get say a Mike Davis type that's been a flop or the latest flavor off the WW that showed a bit then immediately gets put on the trade block for say a 2nd round pick or a flex starter. Things are too close or there is too much uncertainty to make a big move to go for the gold or even to go with a full on rebuild because everyone is being real cautious with trades so far.

also seems like while it may be easier to replace a flex WR from some scrap heap guys, it is also a lot easier to see a good WR being good for 5-6yrs.

I safely predict zero RBs will be good for a solid 5-6yrs, and very very few break the mold

WR >>>> RB!!!!

agreed. That's why I have no qualms about what I'm doing in old school. Yeah sure the opportunity might be there, maybe youre not mathematically out, and if you get in, yeah sure, anything can happen. But realistically?? have some self awareness about where you're really at, sell the unnecessary pieces, accumulate picks/young players and try again in '22.

I've been working over most everyone that, if I were them at this point in the season, I'd be selling, hard, and I can't get anyone to budge on anything,

that is an undeniable truth, they do have longer shelf lives...all three times as many of them

Yes, you bring up a good point. People certainly are playing close to the vest right now since there are quite a few still in it to win it. .... When the pts totals are close between the top 6-7 teams, no one has a burning desire to get overly bold and perhaps mess up what they have going. I didn't want to get into guys that I'd have to spend a pick (or 2) to get right now simply because things are just too iffy as you pointed out.
As for my trade, I made myself a promise after playing Gaskin twice for 2 pts/game, that he would not see my starting lineup again, I'm not fond of the weekly guessing game - so simply got rid of the temptation. .... Booker and Gordon have been more reliable and done just fine to this point. Booker will fade from the picture when Barkley gets back, but as many times as Barkley has been hurt the last couple of season, he's not a bad just in case hold.
Parker basically made my team a bit more balance since, although the starters are fine, I really lacked depth. Besides, he's better than a dime and dirty dishrag as advertised. ...

I held off making a comment when I saw Parker go on IR cause I didn't want to put any bad karma out there, but talk about awful luck
