Felipe - .286 avg 2,101 hits
Jesus - .280 avg 1,216 hits
Matty - .307 avg 1,777 hits
Moises - .303 avg 2,134 hits

This is just the Alous, not any of the cousins.

7,228 hits as a family. gotta be the most in MLB history.

IMO moises should be in the hall someday. does have the hits quite, but his .885 career OPS and .307 average. he finished 3rd in 98 in the MVP, and its sad looking back. missed 2 seasons with injury. the guy hit .355 with a 1.039 OPS in 2000 and finished 20th in the MVP voting. 20th. how does that happen?

Fuck that guy. Him crying about a ball he was never gonna catch lead to a man’s life being ruined.

ehh don't see it. Very good hitter, but I don't think his numbers really stand out for a corner OF (128 OPS+ ranks 198th all-time) especially not one who played in the 90s/00s. Even in that 2000 season, he was still only worth 2.6 WAR (his defense rated out poorly at -13 total zone runs and he also led the NL in GIDP) as he only played 126 games. His 151 OPS+, while great, was 10th in the NL. He only had one season where he finished in the top 10 in his league in WAR (4th in 1994) and only three top 10 finishes in OPS+ (never finished higher than 6th). it definitely doesn't help that his best seasons were shortened by strike/injuries, but I think his HOF case is too much speculation than substance.

I don't think he's much better than Magglio Ordonez and I don't think Ordonez is remotely close to being a HOFer (his 2007 season was pretty spectacular though).

And should easily be in the HOF if Harold Baines is in the HOF. All the Alou’s > Baines.
