I was expecting UVA to win but I thought since they were playing Cassell Coliseum, that the Hokies would've played with that extra spark since it is their arch rival and kept it close throughout.

Nah. We can't do shit if we can't shoot 3s. We don't have any players to rally behind like we did last year with Zach LeDay or Seth Allen. Blackshear and Robinson aren't those guys and NAW is too young. Plus, for some mysterious reason, we can't play defense, like at all. Which is odd for a Buzz Williams coached team

Definitely was not expecting FSU to be this good again after losing Bacon and Issac. These guys really play well together though and Brian Angola is really coming into his own. 23 against Duke and 20 last night against UNC. 4 guys averaging double figures. Also missing their 7'4" starting center right now.

All that said, Leonard will find a way to have this team lose in the first weekend again.

Interesting enough, VT's defense hasn't been that good since Williams arrived. Best defense Williams' has had (according to kenpom) was #64 back in 2016. Defense was ranked #156 last year. VT's defense is currently ranked #76, but conference play is just starting. That number could see a steep increase or decrease.
