It is the same principle we saw when Brad Holmes left. Holmes took the Lions to another level in five years with very good drafts and judicious FA signings. Meanwhile, while we did get lucky in 2021, the Rams without Holmes suffered more craziness when it came to personnel than when he was in the Rams FO.

I was surprised they didn’t take Johnson who was the 2nd best CB in the draft.

Apparently they like their CB’s way more than the rest of us.

Hope that doesn’t come back and bite them in the butt since the Cards took him.

This is why I don't get to much involved in pre draft bullshit & drama on here or look over mock drafts.... They are all bullshit and the Rams trade proves it. What a brilliant move by the Rams. Someone mentioned it a few pages back; Rams are in position to get Arch Manning. They could trade both no.1's in 2026 and trade up. I think the Rams will finish high 20's again! Hopefully 32!!!! I'd think the Falcons will finish bottom 10 or bottom 15. This is great all around.

Ya have forgotten one significant ingredient. Just because ya have the picks doesn't mean ya have a trade partner who wants those picks especially one that would let the Rams trade all the way up to get a guy like Manning. Cleveland stands a better chance of getting Manning because they have already made it known they want Manning as well and their record will be way worse than the Rams.

You are taking a risk that is a year away. Everyone just assumes that somebody will become that trade partner similar to what happened last night with Houston and the Geeants and the Rams. Everyone first assumed the Texans traded with the Rams, than the Geeants, but it was really the Falcons.

The Rams can't be arriving at 32 this year and expect to be able to trade all the way up to get Manning next year.

Trapilo is gone to the Bears. The Rams better get one of the remaining OTs left or they will have blown off that need this year as well. Just incorrigible.

Johnson still being there is due to fear over a potentially long term knee issue.

The damn Rams stood pat and basically ignored the defense during free agency. We are managed by morons.

It is possible Arch pulls an Eli and refuses to play for Cleveland given their track record with QB’s. And that’s assuming he even enters the draft.

But, even still, their are other QB’s that will be available next year that are better than Ward is.

There will be other options at QB as well. The top 4 potential QB options have been projected better than this class.
