You are right Jermaine. Shelton is not the answer he just has more experience. Limmer is 2 inches shorter but 25-30 lbs heavier and we all know he made a rookie mistake in the game against the Iggles.

Besides, Limmer wasn't to blame for that loss, McShitFerBrains was. Why? Because his play calling in the Third Quarter sucked and Stafford and the offense did nothing for nearly the whole Quarter.

The Rams had plenty of chances to win that game outright earlier and they failed.

The Rams are doing it again. They are going to give Williams one of those Demoff-inspired big extensions that will come back to bite them yet AGAIN in the future. Another Kupp, Gurley, Cooks, etc., etc., in the making.

Personally, I would place the blame on gap responsibility on those huge rushing TDs. LB/S out of position.

True, Shopson. Our Defense last year was rated 26th overall. Rozebum and Reeder were constantly out-of-place and having to catch people from behind. The Rams gave-up 353.8 yards per game. Our run Defense was horrible and the Iggles knew it.

Also, the Rams were the only NFC team in the post-season with a negative points fielded/points allowed differential on Offense.

Also, this is why the Rams need to quit ignoring the LBer position and finally address it this draft.

Enough with the offensive players. Fix the LBing corp and kick some teeth in on defense instead of getting run over all the time.

They have their run defender now in Landman. I would expect any LB they draft to be more of a coverage guy. May not be to your liking unfortunately...

The rams cannot ignore the ILB corp this time. They have their wiley vet in Landman but they need depth and maybe even another starter.

Also, the Rams cannot come out of this draft without picking-up at least 2 OTs because there are so many good ones. I personally like Ersery from Minnesota and Wiley from West Virginia. There is also Simmons, and Logan in play as well.

I like the bucket evaluation system outlines in this article. Gets very specific.

I think Simmons and Ersery at least would be out of their reach, as they're likely 2nd rounders (barring a 1st round trade down of course).

I think they definitely need 1. They have 8 picks to work with, so we'll see if they can fit in another (would likely be a developmental guy or G/T tweener).

Well the Rams need back-up for Havenstein when he retires or gets the Kupp treatment. McClendon is supposedly training for that role but I am not sure he is the answer. We all watched how badly he got beat when he did fill-in this past season. More seasoning I suppose.

K.T. Leveson is training to back-up Jackson at LT. Leveson has got some potential as he is pretty quick for a big dude.

There are just way too many good O-line Tackles in this draft to not take at least one. If Simmons and Ersery are gone when the Rams pick, there is a host of others like Wiley who will be there in the Third Round and others beyond.

Agreed on taking 1, potentially as early as the 3rd round.

Bored, another PFN mock. No trades this time, and as a result went LB and OT later that I would like. Played up those Snead Texas ties.

26. Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
90, Gunnar Helm, TE, Texas
101. Tory Horton, WR, Colorado State
127, Kyle McCord, QB, Syracuse
190. Carson Vinson, OT, Alabama A&M
195. Jamon Dumas-Johnson, LB, Kentucky (can feel the puns coming for this name already)
201. Jaydon Blue, RB, Texas
202. Cody Simon, LB, Ohio State

Yeah, I was thinking they needed a coverage LBer who can also defend the run.

yeah thats the part that I don't understand, we got rid of Jonah Jackson because he sucked, now 12 mil for a Center who might start? Limmer was a rookie who was going to make rookie mistakes but overall he was a damn good pick IMHO, so why not let him pick up where he left off. Shelton could have been had for cheaper imho.

He def is not the answer! In mop up duty, guy stay getting his ass handed to him but better pass rushers. That position needs to be shored up as well.

I'm going to disagree with you on this one.

At some point guys become stars and you HAVE to pay them or let them walk. Paying a guy in his prime is a good move. Another thing, lets stop devaluing the RB position. These clubs think that you can just plug in any Joe smoe off the street and you have a 1k yard back or a top 10 rushing team. That is simply not the case, many of these RBS get the shit beat out of them for peanuts while making these game-manager QBs look like world-beaters and those guys get the twice over 50+ mil contracts. This was taken from Rams wire.

"As it stands, Kyren Williams is playing on a rookie contract that he signed when he joined the NFL in 2022. That contract was worth up to $3,970,408 over four years with $310,408 guaranteed. However, he will get a pay increase in 2025, due to his 2025 Proven Performance Escalator (3rd tier). That kicked in millions, setting his base salary in 2025 to over $5.3 million." So while you have had a productive 2 or 3 seasons this guy is barely making a mil a yr, while Mr stafford is at 49? Not to mention being a top 10 back. If a 29 yr old WR with a torn ACL and ankle issues can get a hefty contract then a healthy 25 year old work horse back can too.
