It is a regular season award, and don’t forget that the only reason why Embiid won the MVP last year was because Denver had pretty much locked up the one seed a month before the season was over and so Jokic stopped trying because he was saving himself for the playoffs.

And let’s not forget the narrative spread by certain people that Jokic was the wrong skin color and that’s why he shouldn’t win again.

And I love how you call it a gift when the Nuggets play who was put in front of them, you’re acting like the Nuggets chose for the Heat to run through the Eastern conference or that LA was only a playoff team because of their awful start to the year. Plus being the 1 seed has its advantages, of course, you wouldn’t know that because the only time the Sixers were the one seed recently, they immediately choked it away in the second round as per usual.
