1. I’m still shook over Nick Nurse actually having a stop action play out of time out in the fourth quarter with 3 minutes left down 1 with 4 seconds left on shot clock for him to get Maxey to the bucket clean with a foul.
2. Maxey actually got a fucking whistle tonight and on a night where his three wasn’t cooking still found a forty piece.
3. Nick closes out that game with Pat Bev and Morris playing small ball five with Melton Harris and Maxey around it. He goes to two vets that bring energy with no Embiid. I fucking love the way Nurse played this…cause it worked. The Rockets were cooking them at the defensive end.

Sixers won tonight with offensive execution. People don’t want to talk defense when talking MVP but the bigger difference when Embiid is out is at the defensive end. Sixers gave up so much in the paint tonight and in the NBA all those paint touches lead to high percentage threes. Rockets were 14-30 from 3 tonight.
