I’m not ready to concede “better”. Maxey is a much more efficient player. Maxey isn’t likely to shoot his team out of games the way Spida has and will continue to do.

He's better. Maxey isn't a #1 and likely won't ever be a #1 but that is all opinion bc as long as Embiid is in Philly he will be a #2.

Mitchell doesn't shoot his team out of games often. He had the same efficiency as Maxey last season but attempted more. He has to carry team especially with lots of injuries. Maxey never had to carry his team, if he did it's very seldom.

Because of my more recent comments ( Spida is a chucker) they’re not likely to have playoff success just like Utah didn’t. Chuckers have value in the regular season. Not so much in the playoffs (unless you’re Kobe or Jordan). It’s not necessarily the Cavs group that will be the problem. It will be Mitchell and his game. Of course, Mitchell won’t see it that way.

That’s what I’m saying. Older? More experienced? Further developed? Absolutely. If Maxey maxes out at Donovan Mitchell and isn’t able to make others around him better like Mitchell then I’m seriously disappointed and Maxey left meat on the bone with his skill set.

Well I am going by his career up until now. He is not better and nothing suggest he is better or close.

This just means you don't watch Mitchell. He gives a ton of energy on the defensive side of the court. He works hard on that end. He is a better defender than Maxey and better distributor. Plus he is insanely athletic and can get to the rim with ease.

All of that is moot though bc Maxey is not a #1 so there is no comparison. Even if he is more efficient he doesn't have to carry a team like Mitchell.

I would have to see Maxey as a #1. Mitchell carried his team to a #1 seed and a 2nd round matchup. That Philly team can't even get past a 2nd round matchup with Embiid as a #1
