Thunder still just 1 game out of the 1 seed, and 3 games ahead of the 4 seed Clippers.
Looks like the top 3 in the West will come down to the last game

5 games left for everyone, it's time to do some projections. Someone else can mess with the boring Eastern conference, I'll try the west.

Here are my final projected standings based on the remaining schedule:

1. Denver 58-24 (5-0) Hawks, Jazz, TWolves, @Spurs, @ Grizz
2. Minny 56-26 (3-2) @Lakers, Bullets, @Denver, Hawks, Suns
3. OKC 55-27 (3-2) @Hornets, Kings, Spurs, Bucks, Mavs
4. Clippers 53-29 (4-1) Cavs, @Suns, Suns, Jazz, Rockets
5. Dallas 51-31 (4-1) Rockets, @Hornets, @Heat, Pistons, @OKC
6. Phoenix 49-33 (3-2) Pelicans, Clippers, @Clippers, @Kings, @Twolves
7. Lakers 47-25 (3-2) Cavs, TWolves, Warriors, @Grizzlies, @Pelicans
8. Warriors 46-36 (4-1) Jazz, @Lakers, @Portland, Pelicans, Jazz
8. Pelicans 46-36 (1-4) @Suns, @Portland, @Kings, @Warriors, Lakers
8. Kings 46-36 (2-3) @Nets, @OKC, Pelicans, Suns, Portland

I don't know how the tiebreaker will sort out for the 8-10 seeds. Obviously it won't go just like this but I think I am pretty close on each teams remaining wins and losses.
It never goes exactly to plan but like the detailed effort, and love seeing the Ws end up 8th lol

2) Milwaukee (50-32) VS NYK, VS BOS, VS ORL, AT OKC, AT ORL
3) New York (49-33) AT MIL, AT CHI, AT BOS, VS BKLYN, VS CHI
4) Cleveland (49-33) AT LAL, AT LAC, VS MEM, VS IND, VS CHA
5) Orlando ( 48-34) VS CHI, AT HOU, AT MIL, AT PHI, VS MIL
6) Miami ( 47-35) AT IND, AT ATL, VS DAL, VS TOR, VS TOR
7) PHI ( 47-35) AT MEM, AT SAS, VS DET, VS ORL, VS BKLYN
8) Indiana ( 46-36) VS MIA, AT TOR, AT CLE, VS ATL
The problem with these (yours and thunder's projections) is there's always weird games where the team that 'should' win doesn't. Probably will be pretty close to this but you basically have every 'better' team winning every game.

Why do you think Dallas beats OKC in OKC last game?
Honestly I was 50/50, but I had already picked the Thunder to win 3 and I know they aren’t going to win 4.

Sure maybe but with how close the top 3 in the West are it feels like most games will matter until the end. Who knows?
If the Thunder hadn’t lost 3 straight for the first time all year it looks different. But as I have said I think the Thunder are getting healthy while also keeping some options open.

Perhaps I should have said that they don’t need to kill themselves at this point. Just stay in 3 or better and it’s all good.
