I think that's the biggest mistake they made (thought the scoreboards were technically part of a different renovation). They needed to be about twice as big as they are. They were nice at the time, but definitely not created to be future-proof. They looked small within a couple years. I think they thought because most stadiums had one, and we have two, that the need for larger boards wasn't the same.It wasn't a huge design change ... adding luxury seating, lights and making it ADA compliant. Oklahoma's Stadium is an awesome job ... wish it had a bigger scoreboard.

OSU fans need to stop using this joke. Because unbiasedly if there's any stadium that looks like a toilet, it's your own:Worlds largest toilet.
Looks like a horseshoe to me. Its more about whats in the toilet up north that makes it a toilet.OSU fans need to stop using this joke. Because unbiasedly if there's any stadium that looks like a toilet, it's your own:

I mean, come on. There's no arguing that.
Unfortunately in the mid 2k's when the team sucked that view was about all we had on game day.
Husky Stadium added the cantilevered roof as a rain cover. It was only over one side originally. They didn't add the second deck/roof until the mid 80's.
The Seahawks more or less copied aspects and put it in their design. There is no doubt the understood the sound reflection value as well as rain shielding for the upper deck fans.
I'd LOVE for WVU to put on a retractable roof. Part of me would like it for battling bad weather and part of me would like it for the home field sound advantage.Rain. If you ever lived in the Seattle area you'd know it rains a lot there.
