What do you expect Darcy to do? Is it his fault that Vanek hasn't produced like they obviously thought he would? Did Myers let all the praise go to his head? There are a lot of talented players on the Sabres who simply aren't playing up to their ability.

Not too mention who they pair up with one another and what players they need but pass on in FA to make this team better.

Vanek doesn't care because he's not a leader, but getting paid lots of money no matter what happens.

This team will not get better if they think they don't have to make any significiant changes to the team to get better. A lot of players on this team are nothing but a cancer.

Leopold was a nice signing. However they did lose Lydman & Talinder so they really didn't have a choice. A defenseman was needed.

The one thing I've noticed with Regier is he seems to be afraid to trade away any of his prospects. I understand why he covets them but a GM has to be able to weed out the ones he doesn't believe will make it. Then use them to get a really good player.

The Sabres refuse to go after a player that can make a difference, but will lose a great player without getting anything in return.

They think they can just build from within only and hopefully it will all work out.

Well they did trade Brian Campbell before he became an UFA. Regier is usually in a tough position on deadline day. He doesn't want to give up any of his prospects but his team isn't just a playoff team but a contender. All I know is Ryan Miller isn't going to play forever. At some point Darcy is going to have to make a big trade if the Sabres are going to get over the hump.

Our Captain on the team is a fossil and was a healthy scratch tonight.

This team is in trouble this season considering Miller is struggling big time.

Raffi Torres for a 2nd round pick didn't work out well last season. Now he's in Vancouver. So I get your point.

There are a number of teams struggling that weren't supposed too.
New Jersey
Buffalo
Ottawa although they have picked it up the last couple of games.
Phoenix

Trust me I'm enjoying every single minute of the Devils struggles. The only downside at this point as far as I'm concerned is the Islanders haven't been able to take advantage of it.
