As stated many times Lucic was and is doing what Brown should be doing. Unfortunately every time you see Brown on the bench he is happy, even with the team winning he shouldn't be since his game is crap. Sure, he gets to collect a huge paycheck and doesn't have to do much to get it so I guess for him that is good enough.

Sure, he gets to collect a huge paycheck and doesn't have to do much to get it so I guess for him that is good enough.

He is making a fine case to be shopped, and I think he knows it. I think it's a matter of time before we start reading stuff about Brown being in trade rumors or being actively shopped. Bringing up a buddy of ours from the past, the ESPN stats page for Brown:

The last column on the right, PROD means "Production"; meaning how much game time has elapsed for a player to make an impact essentially. This is a key stat.

Looking back to 2010-11, every year that number has increased. You see the big increase of about 16 minutes between 2012-13 and 2013-14. Clear cut proof his game has gone south gradually at first then drastically the last 3-4 seasons. He has become less and less effective since 2010, you want the PROD number to be as low as possible.

This year he is on pace for 25 points (6G/19A) and his PROD at 52:58. Those projected 6 goals would be the least of his career and he is approaching almost a full game (60:00) required before he is productive. He essentially is better off being benched. Sure, he's doing the mucking and grinding, but so are Shore, Clifford, Andreoff, Nolan, Lewis, etc. and the highest paid guy on that list is Clifford at $1.6 million, or $4.275 million less than Brown.

That right there is a good chunk of money towards either keeping Lucic or getting a T4 defender. The guys needs to be moved no later than next summer, the sooner the better obviously.

If Dumbo almost found a home for Richards, Brown will be able to be shopped as well.

Welcome back Blue, and hellz yeah - keep it up. I always get nervous this time of year, it's when they tend to shit the bed but I'm hoping they see what they have accomplished so far and want to keep that rolling.

They've created some separation between them and the rest of the Pacific, not the time now to let up on the gas. Keep this up and who knows, they may finally enter the POs as a top 2 seed instead of squeaking in.

The Pacific has been average for a few years now, I remember just a few years ago it was one of the toughest in the league. Better to be the best of the worst than the worst of the best.

Unless you are Jaroslav Modry, that guy can eat shit.
