HA, yeh Atlanta was given a do-over after Sherman burnt it down.... And despite having a hundred years to get it right, they failed with regards to roads big time. We have two major interstates that merge right in the middle of town. We have mass transit that we don't support....traffic unfortunately dictates how you mange your job, life, etc around here...

But heck, I still like it here...go figure...

That's all that matters.

Interesting.

Let me inquire please: What's your favorite Mexican places around the metroplex?

I find so many which taste exactly like each other it matters not.

I do like Javier's though and Mena's in Carrollton are my picks. Ever been to either?
Joe T. Garcias in Ft. Worth but not near there now.

Was stuck in that airport and almost missed an international connection...Really ticked me off. I had over an hour between flights and barely made it to my connecting flight.

Don't wanna sound like Mr. International here, but it makes me very nervous beyond nervous if I don't have a minimum of 2 1/2 hours when trying to catch a International flight.

Did some of this for 6 years and it became my rule-of-thumb. "If I didn't have at least 2/12 hours, book the next flight."

Yes, we need him to bounce back...and we need Julio Jones to play a full season. But our defense will be weak...
Didn't Matt Ryan cry vs the saints? I know it's mean to laugh, but that cracked me up...

I like Abuelo's and Cantina Laredo

Never been to Abeulo's but agree.....Cantina Laredo is quite good.

If you're ever in the Carrollton area, Mena's - corner of Marsh/Trinity Mills - is quite good.

For the Dallas folks - Is Herrera's still in Cedar Springs area? Off Maple street if memory serves me, next door to the old Parkland Hospital...I use to love that place. Hottest salsa I ever had!!! Awesome!!!

First few times I went there - way back when - you stood in line and literally it went through the kitchen.

Looking back, how hysterical is that all alone?

Great story on how the place got started. Amazing actually. But it became just another place as it got big and corporate.

In the olden days, you went went in - no menus - and you got whatever they were serving for the day.

Wonderful experience.

I think the last time I went there you could only order a few things.

Used to have cold beer iced down in the kitchen as you walked through and you just told the waitress how many you had. Now we go to mom and pop cafes in the country side

:suds:......I forgot this. thanks

So many people made a big deal outta Herrera's. Very much overrated to me.

But I say again, Javier's - although overpriced and a little "uppity" - is good and worth the BS IMO.
