He is not wasting space if he can indeed get left hand hitters out on a consistent basis. It's that simple. And he's been doing exactly this very well while in AAA. If he can't he's gone and no big deal.

But if he shows what he's shown at RR in Arlington, we can make him a arbitration offer - which it couldn't be much - and have a valuable piece for our pen or a tradable asset.

I just looked up his stats and you're right. He's holding LH batters to a .198 AVG and a .270 OBP with no HRs. Knowing that, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he shits the bed again. IMO, he has always been mentally weak. I guess now is the time to see if this guy can finally do his job. He's always had the stuff to be successful.

Exactly......we have nothing to lose with trying him, one-last-time.

Since we've invested a decade in him, what's another few weeks?

Besides, he's not taking innings away from anyone who we need to see is he? Jesus, we've used more pitchers - as of tonight - than any other team in MLB history. Who hasn't had a chance to throw this season? Haven't we used 3 position players on the mound?

The only person who could possibly be losing innings is Neal Cotts. Does this bother anyone?

ESPN's Insider, Dan Szymborski predicts:

Trout wins the AL MVP, with Nelson Cruz finishing 3rd, and King Felix winning the Cy Young.

Bryant's spray chart is pretty awesome, Cubs are definitely improving their offense with those 2 and Baez and others. Don't know if their pitching prospects are coming along at the same clip however

Yes they are and Bryant hit his HRs at AAA compared to Gallo's at A/AA. Don't mean to diminish what Gallo did but if he does that at AAA then Rangers here he comes.

I am sorry, but I think you are way overvaluing him. He needs to go and should have been gone long ago.

What are you calling an organization? Team FO ? What?

That's a good question, because the Rangers farm had the best combined record this season. The MLB wing of the organization struggled this year, but as a whole they have a bright future.

The organization has a lot of tough decisions to make this winter regarding the 40 man roster. That means a guy like Michael Kirkman needs to go. We simply have more deserving players than him. We might have problems fitting him on a 45 man roster in my opinion.

I don't value him at all. His value will be determined in the next few weeks.

We don't need to be dismissing anyone right now, nor should we.

Let's see if he produces and then make a decision.

There is, IMO anyway, absolutely no reason to not do this.

Why are you belaboring this point so hard?

There is no reason to make any decision right now. Good or bad.

3 1/2 weeks won't make us nor break us.

Holland may very well suck tonight, but I don't give a damn. I wanna see him healthy.

If they stick him in the bullpen and we never see him then that is fine as long as they release him before the rule 5 draft. If he pitches any innings and takes away from seeing our young pitchers then that is a problem. It is the same reason why I liked them releasing Carp. I am not belaboring a point I am discussing it.

It's interesting the Rangers are still 8th in attendance in all of baseball despite our seasons record.

KC is 25th.
