Just what I was afraid of. We would get Scherzer in name only and not the pitcher. Let's bounce back tomorrow.

I didn’t feel good about this game tonight because of Scherzer starting tonight. Figured if we could get by with him just giving up a couple of runs we might be able to win. You can’t give Houston a 5-0 lead. That was it game over.
Problem now is if this series gets extended 6 or 7 who would pitch game 7 assuming Monty goes game 5 and Eovaldi starts game 6.
I have no faith in Scherzer for a game 7.
This team as a whole needs start playing better at home. 4 straight losses now to Houston at home getting thumped is unacceptable. They need to score some runs tomorrow night and play like the team that got them to this point.

I knew starting Scherzer was a mistake. And Smith and Stratton are just no good at this point.

Still up 2-1. Not a bad place to be. But here's the deal...whoever wins game 4 is going to win this series. Book it.

Anyone still want to question why I don’t want Bochy anywhere near this team next year? The entire crowd knew Smith was an awful choice.

I do not want him back next year even if they won the WS. He makes stupid decisions in big spots all the time.

Like I said they have to come out pumped tomorrow night and score some runs in front of their fans. I don’t mean 4 or 5. I would be pissed as a fan right now watching these Astros come into our park and having their way with us.

After Scherzer was roughed up, and seeing which pitchers followed him, I am not sure why they haven't known already, who is going to start tomorrow. I am not sure if it is a hesitancy to make a decision or of Bochy just enjoys being mysterious. He had no plans to throw one of Bradford, Heaney, or Dunning out there for e innings tonight amd only planned on Bradford pitching. Tomorrow's pitcher had to have been known by Bochy for a couple of days now, based on his Game 3 strategy.

Our 500 million top of the order needs to deliver. They've really been quiet in this series.

I think they said tonight they were 4-24 at one point.

Game 4 is pivotal, it’s either 2-2 or 3-1 which is a BIG difference … GL

It's huge. Like I said, winner of game 4 wins this series.

Believe me, the last thing in the world I want is the Rangers making baseball history...the wrong kind.

So I'm not going to overreact to this one. But game 4 is massive.

Sure it is. I would hate being at 2-2 facing Verlander. Monty has been great but you never know how that game transpires if its close going into late innings

I don’t want him back. For being a World Series winning manager, he sure has made a lot of questionable decisions.

I have a good feeling he is going to make one or two more questionable decisions before this series ends. I didnt like Chapman coming back in consecutive games. It worked out barely for Bochy in game 2.

Bochy is like Mike McCarthy. Both think they are smarter than everyone else in the room. But both are stuck in the past.

Maybe he thought because he's Max Scherzer he would just roll out there and throw a gem. He was wrong. And it cost us game 3. Oh well. Hopefully just a speed bump.

We all knew it was going to be either Heaney or Dunning. Bochy knew which one would start, days ago, or at least he should have. Oh well, we all know now.

Heaney has a career 3.35 ERA over 80 innings with 80 strikeouts vs Astros. I would expect a decent game out of him.

Did Dunning do something wrong? Why is he being overlooked as a SP in the playoffs?

I guess since he got roughed up pretty bad last month against Houston is the reason. Who knows?

If you look at Urquidy’s numbers they are awful but he has pitched better in his last 3 starts.
