I've wanted Goldy for a couple years now, would have rather had him than Burger really.

I dont think Lowe is going anywhere and if he does he likely doesn't fetch a lot in return. At least the Rangers won't get much for him with their history of poor trades
I kind of liked the Burger trade. But bet we keep Lowe which to me means no Joc. Money getting scarce methinks

Frim Jamey Newberg:

Winter ball update.

Ezequiel Duran plate discipline watch: he’s now at 13 walks and 19 strikeouts in 102 Aguilas plate appearances, a strong walk rate (certainly for him) and acceptable K/BB ratio.

Now we have the budget room for two late inning relievers, .maybe even a third one.

I would still like to see Duran, Foscue, Huff and Crim get a shot at 1B.

They'll re-sign Kirby Yates after Christmas and probably add another arm that's at least comparable to Robertson, but hopefully younger.
The bullpen is going to be much-improved compared to the least two years, and whoever wins the spot at 1B will exceed most expectations.
My money is on Foscue. I believe he will probably have a .275 BA and hit around 15-20 HRs, with a OPS around 750-780.
That said, it could also be Josh Smith. Or maybe they move Jung to 1B and Smith takes the gig at 3B.

From Jared Sandler:

AMAZING STORY on new Ranger LHP Robert Garcia.

He felt like his career had hit a wall so he retired after 2021 season and started a 9-5 gig. A few months later out of nowhere got a text that he was selected in the MiLB phase of the R5 Draft. Fortuitously, there was an issue with his retirement paperwork so he was still eligible for selection.

He took it as a sign that there was more baseball left so he recommitted. After spending 2022 in the Marlins system, he made his MLB debut with Miami in 2023.

All because of a paperwork issue...

Now, I wonder about Taveras. Will he be traded next?

I wonder if Tanner Scott is our next free agent signing.

But you have to know it is Burgers job at this point but obviously it does give a little light for Crim

Have to think Joc is now on their radar as well as a closer
