they also got a minor league catcher Alex Jackson and maybe they are looking to flip him to the Rangers for Lowe and $3.8MThe Yankees got a reliever for Trevino. I wonder if they are looking to flip that reliever in a trade for a first-baseman. Just wondering.
Anything is possible, but they already have a few catchers of his quality in the system. In 124 big league games his bat makes Hedges look like a great hitter. Lolthey also got a minor league catcher Alex Jackson and maybe they are looking to flip him to the Rangers for Lowe and $3.8M

Taking the Yankees and Goldschmidt out of the picture that leaves five teams with four 1B.Bob Nightengale adds the Giants and the adds to the list if team in the market for a 1B.
Mets
Yankees
Diamondbacks
Mariners
Giants
Nationals
Three trade targets including Nathaniel Lowe, and two free agents remain the primary 1B who are available. That would seem to indicate there are six teams looking at five 1B.
Arizona is off the list but Cleveland takes their place as Cleveland has traded Josh Naylor to themTaking the Yankees and Goldschmidt out of the picture that leaves five teams with four 1B.
And now Cleveland signs Santana.Arizona is off the list but Cleveland takes their place as Cleveland has traded Josh Naylor to them
Hey, Murph. How have you been?I've wanted Goldy for a couple years now, would have rather had him than Burger really.
I dont think Lowe is going anywhere and if he does he likely doesn't fetch a lot in return. At least the Rangers won't get much for him with their history of poor trades
