Ehlinger was great on the first drive, 99 yards and a nice TD pass. Then he played the rest of the game like his shoulder is definitely not well. Hope he can pull it together before next week, or they have NO chance. With him, got a sluggers chance, without, aint happening.

Well, OU getting to play for it as well would be another thing that could matter. Especially if it were to be a rematch with texico...it be mattering like a muhfuh.

Have to say I am happy and this win was a perfect ending to the regular season. Moments of control followed by incompetence a perfect win for an imperfect team. Probably the first Texas team to outperform expectations in a decade

Ehlinger clearly should not have been cleared to play. This is the worst he looked all season.

I was surprised he was medically allowed to proceed on a Wednesday, and still started a Friday game.

Texas got the win, but they were probably better off using the backup QB.

Hope Ehlinger did not re-aggravate anything.

The passing game was non-existent, and he could not hit wide open receiver.

But, much like OHIO STATE/MARYLAND or MICHIGAN/INDIANA, sometime a road game before the big rivalry showdown is a tricky affair.

Being outscored 115-37 in the 4th quarter with a decent lead and just needing to run out the clock.
Texas has a horrible running game, and simply cannot close out wins.

Every other team knows how to close out a win with a 4 minute offense.
The passing offense + Ehlinger magic is good to build leads for 3.50 quarters

Lack of a 4 minute offense than just makes every game a fucking nailbiter near collapse.
No running game hurts, but they should be able to devise some precision passes or something.

I hate these "Championship" games. Whatever happens, Texas shouldn't have to play OU again, and West Virginia shouldn't have to play Texas again. Might as well turn College Football into the NFL II. At least that way, everyone will be justified in crying for more money.

I agree. If OU beats WV they should be conference champs end of story as they would only have 1 conference loss vs 2 or more for everyone else.

Not a poke at Ehlinger, as I think he's the best QB TX has had since Colt. Just been sloppy today. Kyler did it in the TT game.
