Texas Tech has charged bands from out of state colleges and paid to play at those away games. However, before this July meeting, the Texas colleges had a gentlemen's agreement that they wouldn't charge for band seating.

Yup, and college was about preparing kids for a career. Now it is just a 4 year money grab that gives you a piece of paper that tells companies "ok, now you can train me and this proves I can listen".
