Texas is gonna charge Texas Tech's band $100 per person for tickets. The old SWC schools have had a long standing tradition of allowing visiting teams' bands free football game tickets. Been goin on for 60 cot damn years until now.

Must be really strapped for cash.

Texas has said that Tech charged their band last year.

this just shit on my tantrum:

Initial reports condemned Texas’ athletic director Gary Patterson, citing greed and a bevy of other reasons why the Goin’ Band was being charged. But according to Texas Tech senior associate athletics director of operations Robert Giovannetti, all four of the Texas schools in the Big 12 agreed to begin charging to have band members attend games; although, Texas Tech hasn’t had to pay Texas in the past to attend.
