I wonder who will play the role of Tom Brady? Pats aren't the only team in the league that vary their offensive tempo. I think that O'Brien's experience in NE is really all that motivates the title of that piece.

I'm sure it is. He knows how to play said style of play and it has been effective. O'Brien wants to try it out here. But the ? is... "Do they have the QB to do it with?"

I imagine that the intent is for Fitzpatrick to start. I really haven't seen him play enough to know what style of offense best suits him, but he's had some success on several different teams over his ten-year career, so I figure he has played in several types of offenses. I do know that Case Keenum, who started about half of Houston's games last year, had some pretty good success running Kevin Sumlin's fast paced offense in college.

Can they just pick up Mallett already and be done with it?

I figured that had to be in the works for the Pats to draft a QB in second round from Tony Romo college

Seems less likely now than it would have before the draft. I think that Houston tried to get him, but the Pats apparently value him more than Houston did.

I don't know much about Fitzpatrick either and I don't really know his style but I think he can throw the ball down the field and I don't think he is a very mobile QB like Brady

Does this mean that Fitzpatrick is going to start throwing the ball 10 yards past his receivers?
