One year of cap hell, I think we will be fine. We are certainly more than capable of beating the Seahawks, you were one missed field goal away from being swept by the Rams.

Love that logic. Easy to forget the Hawks also missed a FG that game too. That didnt decide the game.

Super Bowl contender? Probably not. However they won 10 games last year and were division winner, so they shook things up to see if they can build on that. Wasn’t a fan of the Hopkins trade, think if you want to hate on the Texans, that where you rip them.
They compounded the stupidity of the Hopkins trade by doing this. Now they've lost Hopkins and a high round pick in exchange for an inadequate Hopkins replacement.

Cook stays healthy he should do his usual 1000 yards, 80 receptions, some TDs. Well worth a second round pick. It’s a gamble on him being able to avoid a concussion. Could back fire or it could pay off. Texans banking on damaged goods like Johnson and Cook rebounding. I won’t of traded Hopkins in the first place, but trading him left a vacuum at WR. Doubt a rookie WR fills that vacuum, but Cook could fill a good bit of it if he stays healthy.

Can someone go do a health check on @RobToxin
I want to make sure he is ok.

gives up a top WR for a 4th.

Gives up a 2nd for a 1 trick pony WR to replace him. (actually I honestly not sure how fast he is anymore) Once he became irrelevant & stopped paying attention to how he played.

Love ruffling the feathers of Seachicken fans.

I remember Rams fans telling us how those contracts handed out were because the FO was the smartest in the league. That was a good laugh for us.

Congrats on your team splitting the season series and the Hawks were an inch from taking the division. Where were the Rams again?

Save up that money cause Ramsey going to want a massive contract.

Let me know when you win the division again sparky.

Try putting up more than 3 pts next time you get to the Super Bowl slap nuts.

Division title... let me know

you certainly didn’t hold Brady to zero TDs in a SB. Hell you couldn’t even give the ball to beast mode at the 2.

Say what? The guy that was second in the NFL in TD receptions, that guy?

Yeah, not sure where that came from:scratch:

Unless he's talking about injury.

I'd love to have him in NE. NEs running low on their quota of Caucasian WRs:D

It’s only the Seahawk and Cowboys fans hating on the Rams here. It’s common around tHoop but I do agree with you.

Wrong:peace:

Are you being serious? Of course it's valuable. This isn't a super bowl contender adding a final piece. This is a team going nowhere fast that's still going nowhere fast after the trade. The last thing teams like this can afford to do is throw away their high round draft picks. They're dooming themselves to quicksand by doing so.

2nd round pick is valuable. Not as valuable as the first they gave up for a one year rental at the cost of buying a small country:doh:

If Cooks had been a FA this year his market would likely have been around $9.75M. Given his concussion history I don't think any team would have guaranteed more than 1 year. The Rams basically traded a $9.75M player with an $8M contract for a 2nd round pick. I'd make that deal for the Rams every time and spend the $8M on another FA. Cooks is a good player but his trade value should have been a 5th, or at most a 4th, round pick.
