LGM meows.
Yeah, but which one?Dangit... Someone's off his meds again...
Not a bad plan. Davis' will be the first speech I will have listened to the entire way through. Don't usually watch all the speeches other than maybe some highlight moments.
I might save my trip for if Steve Atwater ever gets in. He is the guy honestly I think should be getting in more than Davis for the Broncos. Top-10 Safety of all time in my book and just a very underrated piece of those Super Bowl teams.
Rod Smith will be tough IMO. He is 27th on the all time receptions list, but there are so many other WR's not in the Hall in front of him and over the years as he wait more WR's will pass him.
Bailey is a given. That one is a slam dunk.
Meck. Hmmmm. I don't know. I mean I was a young kid when he played and thought he was good, but not sure he is a hall of famer.
Gradishar never saw play but every oldie swears he belongs.
Smith42? Detron Smith? No way he deserved to be in the hall of fame. He was a 3rd round FB who was only a special teams player. I'd say Dennis Smith49 has a much better shot.
Atwater is boarderline... 95% of Bronco fans think he should be there. I'd like to see him there, but he wasn't a cover S and that hurts him.... But his hitting ability and ability to tackle is deserving. He made a huge impact on defense for us. I don't expect him to get in but would love to see him get in... But Brian Dawkins and Lynch probably get in at some point and they played similar styles.
He will never get in, but Simon Fletcher is the best NFL player to never play in a Pro Bowl.
The DB? Hmmm Louis Wright is that who you're thinking of?
If only I could remember my math like I do sports.
I use to sit in study hall in high school and write all this stuff down instead of studying for my tests.
Sports stuff just sticks in my head, it probably consumes 85% of my brain power.
I use to have teachers in the middle of class quiz me on sports numbers, positions, players because all of my classmates would bring up my memory for sports. People hated going against me in current events when the topic was sports in ECON class.
I was pretty good at history and english (I proof read my stuff if I am not typing on sportshoopla) but Math was another story.
I don't know, sports stuff just stuck into my head at a young age because I was so interested in even the smallest details that go along with it. Jersey numbers, stats, unknown players, plays, whatever.
I knew you meant Dennis, just had to razz ya.
But it was funny because another Smith, Detron did wear #42 for us.
My memory is really good even as a youth. When visiting childhood friends Ill remember stuff that they can't remember a detail about. There are things my friends have forgotten that stick in my brain like it was yesterday... I can't believe some of the stuff they've forgotten. I'm blessed with a great memory.
Talk about firing my ass up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I am so ready for the season win or lose !
