Vanderbilt once beat Alabama 78-0.
Did you know that Bo Rein was the only head football coach (1980) of LSU to never coach a game. He died in an aircraft accident while on a recruiting trip.
In 1991, Central Michigan tied the record for most ties in a season by going 6-1-4.
Since the 1997 season, Ohio State has only been to one Rose Bowl. That's less than Michigan, USC, Stanford, Wisconsin, Texas, Penn State, Washington State, and Oregon.

without looking - was Ears Withworth our coach?
No it wasn't. It was J.H.W. Pollard. Also, FWIW, Bama beat Auburn in that same year.
Well that was way back then. Hard to believe someone sucked worse than Ears.
With how much it was that Ohio State has dominated the Big 10 since the inception of the BCS, you would have expected them to have more than one trip there. Even if you take out the three National Championship games people were still calling it the Big 1 little 9.I guess it's different than the SEC, because back in the day going to the Sugar Bowl was the big deal and now we make fun of the team that goes to the Sugar.
