Oh yeah no doubt they played as a team, which I can appreciate. And I'm not knocking them when I say this, but, outside of UConn in 2014, it's probably the least talented team to win the title in my lifetime.

I agree, it's not about talent alone, but you at least have to run a thoroughbred in the race as a jack ass can't win it.

Iowa State gets a good bang for their buck, but the good teams usually don't make it past the Sweet 16.

Historically: Only 19 Tournament appearances, but they have made it to the Sweet 16 five times (1986, 1997, 2000-Elite 8, 2014 and 2016) + the 1944 Final Four Team in an eight team field. In the Modern Era (my lifetime), only the 2000 team with Fizer and Tinsley made it past the Sweet 16.

This year,: They have already been labelled a sleeper team by a few like they were when Niang was there, but I don't buy it. The Cyclones are good enough to win the Big Xii Regular Season or the Big Xii Tournament, but they will not make it past the Sweet 16. Not enough heart.

Gonzaga ranks #1 Adjusted Offense in the nation according to Ken Pomeroy, which is a pretty good testament that they could do some damage in the tourney. Few is a great coach as the Bulldogs have won the WCC regular season all but twice since 2000, but they've only been to the Final Four once in that span when they finished Runner-up.

Well they play in a very weak conference, but they did beat Duke in November. This is probably Few's best team which tells me they are Final Four material, but as history has shown it takes a little more to be a Champion. But history doesn't win games now.

Make no mistake, they are a Top 8 team no doubt about it.

I agree. If Gonzaga were in one of the better leagues they'd still be about the same team they are now. They'd have a few more losses for sure and consequently have a lower tourney seed.

But they'd advance about the same as they have historically in the tourney...which is pretty damn good the past few years.
