Yeah, I realize Taylor was the only option last year.

I'm just curious if the stumbling, bumbling, fumbling, pick 6, penalty ridden offense that we've seen the past couple years is also due to Taylor being hurt the whole time?

OK. So Taylor comes back 100% healthy. It's more than breaking a 100 yd dash once every 5 games. I know he can't take on a tackler for 2 much needed yds and I don't believe he has the QB aptitude necessary to manage the offense to it's potential.

You know I totally miss the point of your question

I personally think tmart won't ever be the 2010 tmart again and judging from when they admitted he was hurt he probably was still having nagging injuries in 2011 n '12. So he probably was playing hurt
That something we might not ever know but we haven't seen tmagic of 2010 that was making kstate okie state and Mizzou look stupid

If we had that 2010 pre injury tmagic this year then I would drink the kool aid that JJM sips on.even with or defense issue our divison isn't that strong that our offense putting up crazy numbers couldn't handle and help.

I just hope when tmart comes back he is fully healthy not "80%" crap.bc if he can't run he's useless to us because he is not a pocket passer we need his running and passing .

Yeah, I'm just thinking how soon can he be 100% if an entire off season didn't heal him up?

Regarding the 2010 Taylor, I'm not so sure teams didn't just figure out how they were being pimped and adjust to that (hence their 2nd half adjustments). There are really only 2 ways Taylor can beat you and if you've got the talent to take those 2 things away, he's out of his element and mistake prone.
Think NU's offensive output in the 2nd half in both UCLA games for example.
The teams that have beaten Nebraska have those personel to stack the box, limit the short field, and go man downfield.

It's almost funny that Bo's "bend but don't break" philosophy would get ripped to shreds by a guy with Taylor's limitations. Until he got into the red-zone anyway. Then he'd stall.

Bo's philosophy...

We'll let ya dink and dunk all day, but eventually you'll shoot yourself in the foot.

I also think our coaches were stupid not to adjust of have plan b or c or d when it came to tmart

Yeah sdsu exposed us and how to stop tmart they should have come with plans on how to adjust if teams load the box up. I mean tmart was most known and feared for rushing they had to know that loading the box was gonna happen.

I think that and it not being his forte was the reason watts got canned. We never adjust when teams took our obvious strength away. I think a young spread OC would have done wonders with tmart and not let his weakness be exposed in big games.

Ugh that thinking has plus and minuses

In theory it works bc you make teams have to go on 10-14 play drives to score
That also if you have the talent to make it work.

But what bo didn't realize was how much suh made a difference. With taking the run away from team they were forced to be one dimensional and that played into our bend done break defense
Since we can't stop the run we have to gamble, mix that young inexperienced talent the deep ball or big plays happen more.

If bo gets top then it works but right not we don't know. Last but not least blitz for heaven sake it actually worked and it the only way to get pressure or start moss n Gregory at the ends

If Bo's plan was to bend but not break while Suh was here then he just plain and simply got lucky.

Cuz when Suh was on the field there was no bending, nor was there any breaking......it was just "get the fuck off me, bitch.....where's the QB.....there he is, fuck you".....play over in 1.5 seconds

You kinda said it we were lucky to have suh

He covered up so much for bo and Nebraska.
Since he left rushing defense and defense scoring has gone up each year

Bo defense works with suh like player without him well you've seen the games and tape ha

Yourn memory is short.

Suh against Va Tech at the end when he was playing paddy-cake contain?

I doubt he was doing that on his own.

I hate that game

We had them backed up and instead of playing aggressive or keeping things in front we ran some cover 2 and let that wr go wide open

And then that play where suh was playing patty cake he admitted he should have been lil more aggressive

Bad game

You know Suh being aggressive instead of paddy cake cost us the Big 12 title at the end... right?

Not the kickoff that went out of bounce that put the ball at the 40?

Or missed opportunity for touchdowns that we settled for fg....

I only look at the last Texas possession.

That's when NU needed to play disciplined and they didn't. The kick out of bounds was the most controllable and the most damaging.

Oh well. Discipline, fundamentals, and overall attention to detail is part of what keeps NU out of the elite status of CFB.

Think of the let down we'd have had in 2010, 2011, 2012.

He's never won more than a division title and we're used to it now. We shall see if he can get another.
