Just got a chance to watch him speak with the media.........he continues to say the goal is to win the National Championship.

Someone asked him why his goal isn't to win the Big 10 first.........he said if we're in the National Championship, then we will have won the Big 10.

So I guess I'm gonna bump this thread until we are for sure out of the National Championship picture.

Why? Whats wrong with setting lofty goals? Would you feel better about it if he said his goal was to win more games than last year and MAYBE play in the CCG?

You want the players and coaches to return to the way NU used to be. I remember Tommy and others talking about winning a national championship. Seems to me Taylor is right on track.

Tommy never hesitated to say he "Came to Nebraska to win a National Championship" and "All I want is a National Championship".

If the past couple of seasons are an indication of what's to come in 2012... "Sigh"

I think it's great to set lofty goals in the lockerroom away from the public. Why would Taylor want to place a big bullseye on his chest and the rest of his team too? This will come back to haunt him, guaranteed.
