I voted that he finishes in 2nd.

My reason for this is because I think he finally has a season where he hangs on to the football. He has put up Heisman-like stats several times in the past, but his inability to keep possession of the ball has obviously set him and his team back.

I believe Braxton Miller wins the Heisman this season.......unfortunately I say this with the expectations that Ohio State beats Nebraska in a head-to-head matchup for the B1G Championship, deciding the fate of the Heisman Trophy.

I think OSU enters the game undefeated and Nebraska with 1 loss.

I think people are underestimating the schedule that Nebraska has and the fact that Taylor is a Senior.

If we're winning games and Taylor is even remotely doing anything close to what he has done in the past 3 seasons, he is going to be in the top 5 of the Heisman race this season easily.

Don't forget, this kid was in the Heisman race as a Redshirt Freshman. It was temporary, but it happened.

I think there is a really great chance he makes it to the ceremony this year.

Didn't you want him gone after his freshman year?

Trust me, you can go back and check every single one of my posts........you have the wrong guy.

I have stuck by the kid the entire way.

You're thinking of that punk kid HH

No and no

I can see you thinking no and no.....but the facepalm is a little much.

Nebraska's SOS is ranked about 105th in the country, and you know the Heisman is all based around big plays and wins. It doesn't really matter who you beat, as long as you win.

If Nebraska does manage to start off 8-0 heading into Ann Arbor, Taylor will be easily in the top 2 or 3 in the Heisman race. That is just a fact.

Setting all homerism aside, I seriously believe Taylor Martinez stands a better than 33% chance of being invited to the ceremony.

Especially with Johnny Football eating the dust and opening up another spot........

How can anyone think it's that absurd?

It's not absurd at all. He's going to put up Manziel-like numbers this year. He just needs for Michigan to be in the top 5 when we play them and then put on a show for all to see.

We very well may well be the number 1 or 2 team in the country at some point this season. Easily top 5.

That SOS is exactly one of the things that will hurt Taylor. If it was only about wins and not about who you played then a Boise St QB would have won the Heisman over the years. Or Jordan Lynch would have gotten more voted last year. If it was just about stats then Troy Davis would have won it years ago.

You honestly believe that Taylor can get invited over Teddy Bridgewater, Tajh Boyd, Marcus Mariota, Braxton Miller, Aaron Murray, Jadeveon Clowney, AJ McCarron, or TJ Yeldon? Those are you clear front runners!!!! If it was last year then maybe because it was a terrible year for the Heisman last year. This year is a stacked year for the Heisman!!!! I think Taylor will have a great senior year and not trying to trash him at all. It is about hype, stats, hype, who you play, hype, if you win, hype, how you play in big games, and hype. In my opinion it is AJ McCarron's trophy to lose with Miller a close second. Everyone else is playing for 3rd.

The face palm was not too much at all.

completely agree with Jed. too many other big names. Taylor will have to play unbelievably well and keep this team undefeated. If he can do that going into voting week then I could see him getting the call to go to the ceremony, but other than that, any loss immediately drops him like a stone from that race.

I agree, hype is such a big part of it.........

ESPN can't get enough of Taylor's dick.......I don't know what you guys are watching :noidea:

Are you joking? You are talking about ESPN right? ESPN can't get enough of Taylor's dick? What ESPN are you watching? When does ESPN talk about the Big 10 outside of Urban Meyer and Ohio St? When does ESPN not talk about the SEC? When does ESPN not talk about Oregon? Plus with Bridgewater being a projected big time NFL draft pick, ESPN will follow the shit out of him. Seriously, what ESPN are you watching?

For tmart to win the heisman

1. Go undefeated
2. Which means win bigten
3. Johnny football like stats aka 250 passing 150 rushing
4. In those big games he needs even bigger stats
5. Every other player in the race must screw up

IMO this a crack pipe dream sorry to be blunt. But it isn't gonna happen and with the weak schedule he's gonna have to put up some crazy number

Season numbers: 4500 passing 1500 rushing he gets that he should earn a trip to NYC and maybe get 2-3 place.
