Sorry if I seem sensitive about this. I have a relative who has participated in the Special Olympics for years and has overcome more hardship than the neurosurgeons on the internet who make fun of her and people like her.
Those who make fun of them and feel superior are the ones who are handicapped.

If someone insults me, I can take it, but stay away from my family. Damn right it's personal.

Look man. My wife has worked a lot with those with special needs and I've spent tons of time around them. I've loved some of the times I've had working with them. It's really not a dig at them. I think the special Olympics is great, but people gotta lighten up in this world. Everybody is looking for something to get offended about.
