The phrase I hate the most is "defenseless player". Does the player have the same helmet as everyone else on? Does the player have the same pads as everyone else on? Is the player on the same field of play between the white lines as everyone else? THE FUCKING PLAYERS ARE NOT DEFENSELESS!!!!!!!!! IT'S A GOD DAMN CONTACT SPORT AND THEY FUCKING KNOW IT!!!!!! Yep, and now the National Championship trophy and the Heisman trophy are both changing to go along with the new cute little playoffs that we have.

They are trying to turn College Football into the NFL at the snap of a finger.......what they're really doing is turning the game into a cartoon. It's a fucking joke.

I would love to know who these people are that are making the decisions. Seriously, if 99 out of 100 of us understand why this is all bad for College Football, how in the fuck does an entire group of individuals come to an agreement on this kind of shit?

This targeting rule is BS. Between this and the new excessive celebration rule that can vacate a TD, some team is going to lose a game this year over a crappy call. Imagine if the targeting rule had been in place last year and Clowney gets thrown out. The crowd and broadcasters would have gone nuts.

Anyone who's played football understands it's a violent and dangerous game, but we play anyways. You always knew you might not walk off the field that day and might be carted off. It's suppose to be dangerous.

Only thing in my mind that needed to be changed was helmet to helmet. That shit is dangerous and it took me years to get over the new rule, but it's right. Leading with your shoulder is a lot safer.

The thing that bothers me about the helmet to helmet rule is I've seen many times it called against the defender when the defender had perfect form and at the last second the ball carrier lowers his shoulder and head and creates the helmet to helmet... It should be called against the offense and defense, if the ball carrier creates the contact he should be penalized. Not the defender who had good form.
