So what are you expecting after that ugly incident?

Talib has been much better off the field since coming to Denver but you were kinda of waiting on something like that, sadly!

I think the thing that sucks the most is that he did it to a pretty darn good guy in Dwayne Allen. Not that I would ever say it would be ok to do, but why not someone easy to dislike..

Like Tom Brady!

Although that would probably be a lifetime ban if he did that ;)

At least a fine. Not sure that a suspension is warranted since I don't think he has recent history of that nonsense. If I am the team I might still sit him for a week.

Not only did he have the eye gouging, he ran over a ref right after that. He lost his cool and cost the team any chance of coming back. That needs to be addressed.

Obviously a despicable act. Reminds me how I felt many years ago when Romanowski spit in JJ Stokes' face.

I think he'll be fined and perhaps even suspended. Hope that a veteran like Ware has a talk with Talib. Coaches should also emphasize that not hurting the team with cheap personal fouls is part of the players' responsibility.

We can talk stats, defensive schemes, INTs, tackling, etc etc ... But this was an unfortunately example of why Talib will never be in a class with Champ Bailey

I have not read all the SportsHoopla but my guess is talib was trying to grab the doods face mask and slipped .. My guess is we lose him for the NE game ...I am at the point that I think the comish sort of likes NE..

I will add I think The difference in yesterdays game in winning is all about mindset and keeping composer.. That game is a reflection on the coach some what .

This team was out coached yesterday . Indy wanted that game with every ounce of their being .. Luck is one sore feller today .

When I saw it live that is what I thought. After seeing it replayed, however, Talib's intent to poke Allen in the eye is clear.

As far as guys mixing it up in the heat of competition, sure. But poking a guy in the eye on purpose is an absolute punk move, in my opinion.

Talib suspended one game. I think it was fair punishment.

Crash- You can't tell me that wasn't intentional.

It is one thing to legally hit a player going across the middle of the field.

To go up and wedge your fingers through someone's facemask and poke at his eye.

It was clear.

Reminded me when Brandon Spikes did it to Washaun Ealey in college.

Maybe even worse because this one was more clear. Clear as day. Spikes did it in a pile up. It just got caught on tape thanks to great camera angles now.

Crash-

Do this.

Grab a helmet and grab fthe facemask..

When doing so you will grip your hand. Your fingers will curl.

Talib's fingers were straight out. He stuck his fingers straight through his facemask.

He didn't have a grip/curl as if he was going to grab the face mask.

It was a cheap play and we have to admit it and move on... Ill be honest I can see where players start to lose their cool in a game like that. Frustrating to lose to the Colts again, when you make a nice comeback.
I can see where players start to lose it especially on the road with the crowd against ya and in a game you want to win really really bad because of our last outing with the Colts and the previous year where we lost to them on Sunday night football. Just a tough team to lose to again. But sticking your finger through someone's helmet who isn't even engaged in a scuffle with you is just a terrible cheap play that we have to live with the punishment and move on. Miller and Allen were having a normal in your face jawing match that was about to end.

Then Talib does that.

I have mixed thoughts on this. On one hand, I personally want the Broncos players to hold themselves to a higher standard. Had Kubiak or Elway suspended Talib for one game I would have supported it. Coming from a league that is hit and miss on player suspensions, and that has let far more egregious examples of on-field and off-field misconduct go unchecked, I find the suspension curious.

Either way I think it benefits the team to see what that kind of bush league stupidity gets you. Collect themselves and on to the Chiefs!

I have no problem with Talib getting a game or 4 games gone . I have a problem with NE getting a different set of rules than other teams

NO there coach got a year off .. NE caught twice nothing . Billacheat has his gubby little fingers on all things NE football and to try and tell me any different I will call you a liar . He should of also had a 4 month ban just like his cheat of a QB who knows what the D calls are .

I am starting to think about stop watching all NFL games if this trend keeps up much longer .. I bet if there was a poll on is the Patriots still getting other teams calls I bet more than 50% of the public would say yes !

Yeah Talib is a punk this week.

I really wonder what Ward has to do to play safety now a days. I thought he hit Hilton low enough not to be called. John Lynch would be a pauper today with all the fines he would have incurred.

But Talib has had on the field issues aside from his off field issues. Not while with us but with Tampa Bay earlier in his career.

This is his first incident in what 3 years? That's really good for a supposed punk who can't keep out of trouble.
